I’ve been useless at posting this year. BUT it doesn’t mean I can’t do a favourite games I’ve played this year!

10: RV There Yet

This game is hilarious and incredibly buggy but I think that adds to the charm. It’s absolute chaos when my friends and I play it together and it’s all around good vibes. Smoking to make you run faster is excellent but so dumb. We spent at least 20 minutes trying to get to the top of a rock tower and ended up completly giving up on it. A ridiculous game in the best way possible.

9: Hogwarts Legacy

I thoroughly enjoyed it, I have also recently got it on the Epic Games store (for free) so we’ll see with better graphics than my little switch. There’s so much exploration to be done, I just wish it had been fleshed out a liiiiitttttllleee bit more. But I still really enjoyed… even though I gave it a 3/5. But it was actually a 3.5/5.

8: Unforseen Incidents

I went into this really not expecting a ton, but this was such a good game. It’s a point and click puzzle/mystery and there was so much in it. The game does a great job of taking you everywhere you need to go before the chapter ends and wrapping everything up pretty nicely.

7: Story Teller

Such a cozy game but also great for puzzling. I found myself laughing a lot at different scenarios, really trying to get every possible outcome where possible. It’s a great little puzzle game, pretty short and there’s a sneaky extra set of levels at the end which is a fun discovery.

6: Night Loops

I haven’t actually finished this game yet, but I’m loving it so far. It’s such a cool art style, very creepy and spooky vibes. I like that you can loop through the night multiple times and discover something new every time with the memories of before. I’m not sure how much I have left of it but I’m so looking forward to finishing it and seeing how it ends!

5: Dishonored 2

Another one I haven’t actually finished rip. I’m very nearly at the end though! I started this almost immediately after finishing the first game because I was STARVED of this exact game. It’s not disappointing so far. I did have to take a bit of a break from it but I’m loving the powers Emily has, the new area. And it looks beautiful. I thought the first game was pretty good considering the year but this one is just upgraded! I will also be playing Chaos Corvo version at some point.

4: Dredge

I’m playing this a year late. It’s SO GOOD! I will admit I got lost at some point and wasn’t quite sure what to do but the fishing is pretty fun and the hoarding of absolutely everything. I did clock onto what was happening at the end and the ending I got was WILD. But I loved the eldritch horror and all of the crazy fish. Just fab

3: The Seance of Blake Manor

Eek yet another I’m still playing but I’m LOVING this so much. I started playing it around Halloween (very fitting) but paused to finish off BG3. The mechanics are very cool, the art style is gorgeous. I’m so intrigued and just want to know everything! So stay tuned (heheheh)

2: Dispatch

I bashed this out in 2 days. I was HOOKED from the beginning all the way until the end. I loved this super hero/super villain situation. It was very reminiscent of the Telltale Games (rip the studio). I loved the blending of the gameplay dispatching with the actual story. I think I did screw over Invisigal but I want to play it again already and get all possible endings.

1: Baldur’s Gate 3

What. A. Game. There was so much, and I still don’t think I found everything even though I logged a TON of hours. The amount of dialogue and crossing stories and everything amazed me. I don’t think there are words that can describe how much there is in this game. I romanced Astarion (of course) completely fucked Gale’s companion quest by not finishing Sorcerers and Sundries and he ended up dying at the end. But I’m still happy with my first play through. Now I have to play as every single class and every single race and do Dark Urge.

Hope everyone has a fab end to 2025, I’ll try and be better at posting in 2026 but we’ll see. If you’ve got any game recs stick them below, I’m always looking for something new to play and let me know what your fave games of the year have been!
